Desert City has an opportunity for a hospitality professional to manage one of our large remote sites.

Previous FIFO experience not necessary.

We are seeking an experienced hospitality or motel manager to join our team. Previous FIFO experience is not necessary as we are looking to onboard, train and mentor site managers to get this experience.

We are hiring out of Brisbane, Toowoomba and Adelaide for full time, ongoing work.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide leadership and operational oversite for a remote accommodation village.
- Organising, controlling and supervising all daily operations of the site, including reception, housekeeping, maintenance and kitchen
- Greeting and assisting guests with check in/check out requirements
- Managing reservations and handling guest enquiries, bookings and payments
- Managing the reservations system to maximise yield and ensure data integrity
- Ensuring rooms, facilities and site standards are maintained at all times
- Oversee site grounds and facilities, including maintenance, contractors and tradespersons.
- Oversee staff training and supervision to ensure high standards, presentation and customer service at all times
- Work closely with our qualified Chefs to ensure excellence in standards, quality and presentation.
- Ensuring compliance to WHS, Fire safety and Food Safety regulations
- Adherence to Desert City systems and daily, weekly, monthly reporting requirements.
- Handle guest feedback in a timely and professional manner
- Drive continuous improvement in our guest experience
- Manage inventory and supplies for kitchen and site, including monthly stocktakes and cost analysis.
- Provide overall support and guidance to all staff

The role will include:

- Excellent conditions and pay. We pay above Award
- All meals and accommodation whilst on hitch




- An equal time roster, (3 weeks on 3 weeks off)
- Accommodation on site and transport to site
- Uniforms provided
- Transport provided (from point of hire)

You will be required to pay for industry-transferrable training but you will be paid for inductions and job specific training by the Company.

Minimum requirements for this role will be:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry
- A hospitality mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction and resident experience
- Demonstrated experience with reservation systems (RMS highly regarded)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi task
- Confident and competent with Microsoft office and financial reporting
- Exceptional communication and relationship management skills
- A national police clearance (dated within 6 months, or willing to obtain)
- Full Australian driver license (Manual preferred)
- Australian work rights or Visa as required for this position
- Ability to undergo and pass a pre-employment medical including a drug & alcohol screening and physical

Industry transferrable certificates you will be required to obtain before or during your onboarding will be:

- Oil and Gas Industry Safety Induction (ISI or DCGI)
- Current 4WD certificate (PMASUP236 or RIIVEH305F
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willing to obtain)
