We are seeking a Graduate Accountant to deliver entry level accounting services across the firm, including financial reporting, payroll coordination, trust‑account compliance, taxation support, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis. The role requires the application of specialist accounting knowledge, independent judgement and responsibility for key financial processes that support the firm’s operational, regulatory and strategic objectives.

About the Role
As a Graduate Accountant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the firm’s financial operations, delivering accurate reporting, maintaining compliance, and ensuring the smooth running of critical accounting processes. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive financial information with discretion, integrity, and professionalism. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and broader leadership team, contributing to financial reporting, payroll coordination, trust‑account compliance, taxation support, and business improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Coordinate payroll requirements,
including liaising with payroll providers and ensuring PAYG and superannuation compliance
- Manage trust‑account processes, including reconciliations, trust trial balances, investment trial balances, and trust payments
- Support the annual trust audit and maintain accurate trust‑related financial records
- Assist with BAS preparation, payroll tax, and year‑end financial adjustments
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity across accounting and practice‑management systems
- Contribute to business improvement initiatives, including enhancing financial systems, reporting processes, and workflows
Ideally, you will bring to the role:
- A Bachelor degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of professional judgement, resilience, and ethical practice
- Ability to manage sensitive financial information with discretion and integrity
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure
- Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Microsoft Excel
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills
- A proactive approach to improving financial systems, reporting processes, and workflows
- Genuine interest in the legal industry and its regulatory and trust‑account frameworks
- Commitment to accuracy, integrity, and ethical financial practice
