An exciting opportunity is available for a Veterinarian to join a growing, independently owned small-animal practice in Melbourne.
The clinic is looking for both full-time and part-time veterinarians to join a supportive and collaborative team. About the Clinic
Established in 2006, the practice is a modern, purpose-built veterinary clinic located within a vibrant shopping precinct, surrounded by cafés, shops and local amenities.
The clinic has a strong focus on low-stress handling and fear-free care, ensuring the wellbeing and comfort of patients is prioritised throughout their visit.
The close-knit team includes 9 veterinarians, 11 veterinary nurses and 2 receptionists, creating an experienced and supportive environment where communication, respect and teamwork are highly valued.
As an independently owned practice, the team has the opportunity to contribute ideas, influence how the clinic operates and play an important role in its continued development.
About the Role
The successful veterinarian will enjoy a varied role incorporating both consulting and surgery, working alongside experienced veterinarians and highly skilled veterinary nurses.
The role includes:
- A balance of consulting and surgical shifts
- Small-animal medical and surgical cases
- Nurse consultations and client education
- Working closely with experienced veterinary nurses and veterinarians
- Participating in a shared Saturday roster
- No Sunday work
- No Public Holiday work
- No on-call requirements
- Access to ongoing clinical support and professional development

About You
The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and motivated small-animal veterinarian who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to providing excellent patient and client care.
Ideally, you will have:
- A BVSc, DVM or equivalent veterinary qualification
- Current registration to practise in Victoria
- At least two years' small-animal clinical experience
- Strong clinical and surgical skills
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence working within a busy clinical environment
- A proactive, compassionate and team-focused approach
- A genuine commitment to high standards of veterinary care
