Job Summary

Join our finance team in Brisbane or Sydney as a Senior Financial Accountant. You will support management by providing accurate financial information, analysis and reporting, driving business strategy and process improvement.

Responsibilities

- Preparation & processing of month‑end journals
- Balance sheet and GL reconciliations to maintain accurate records
- P&L; variance analysis
- Reconciliation between ERP and back‑office/trading system
- Accurate recording and maintenance of Asset and Lease Registers
- Preparation and submission of monthly BAS returns
- Preparation of monthly divisional reporting
- Preparation of management, regulatory and statutory reports
- Preparation for quarterly and year‑end audits
- Preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
- Preparation of FBT requirements
- Ad‑hoc financial analysis and trend analysis to drive tangible value
- Preparation of ad‑hoc reports and financial information with high accuracy
- Process improvement, standardisation and simplification
- Gain respect across the organisation

Qualifications





- CA/CPA qualified with 5+ years post‑qualification experience in commercial finance, ideally in financial services or technology
- Proven understanding of financial systems and report development
- Experience with debtor and creditor functions
- Advanced Excel and data management skills
- Knowledge of taxation law
- High attention to detail and strict confidentiality
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective time management, organisational and prioritisation skills
- Analytical thinking – willing to question processes and seek improvements
- Initiative in following up and resolving issues promptly
- Ability to identify problems and advise on resolution
- Implement process improvements, reduce manual work, increase efficiencies and cut costs
- Coaching and team‑management skills
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders
