Banana Shire Council is seeking a Full-Time Team Leader to join our Reticulation team in Biloela, QLD.

About the role

To provide leadership to the reticulation team on planned and unplanned construction and maintenance tasks related to Council’s water supply and sewerage infrastructure and assets throughout the Shire.

What you’ll be doing

- Lead and supervise the reticulation team
- Install, operate and maintain Council’s water supply and sewerage reticulation schemes and infrastructure
- Respond to maintenance issues that arise in the reticulation networks throughout the Shire
- Rectify issues based on priority and available resources to restore normal operating conditions
- Assist with planned maintenance tasks and capital works projects as required
- Coordinate staff and resources to complete set projects
- Complete and maintain log sheets, asset records and monthly reports and associated administrative tasks
- Undertake stocktakes and advise of stock consumption and requirements
- Provide assistance to the team as required
- Participate in toolbox and team meetings
- Assist with the maintenance of Water and Sewerage Treatment Plants
- Contribute to the promotion of the image of the Council and the maximisation of good public relations




- Liaise with clients, other Council staff, the public, consultants, utility and government authorities in the performance of duties, including providing and obtaining information

What we’re looking for

Compulsory

- Queensland ‘C’ class drivers’ licence (minimum requirement – provisional licence)
- General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) Certification – White Card.
- Trade qualification in Plumbing
