About the Role
The Participation and Programs Trainee will assist in the delivery and promotion of AFL programs. This includes but is not limited to NAB AFL Auskick, NAB AFL Superkick, AFL Nines, School Programs and Competitions, as well as Community Football. The role plays an important part in ensuring these programs are delivered to a high standard and continue to grow participation in the game.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in the delivery and promotion of AFL programs, events and competitions.
- Maintain program databases and provide general administrative support.
- Support logistics, including the setup and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the broader Participation and Programs team to ensure consistent outcomes.
- Assist with promotions and initiatives that drive program engagement and awareness.

Essential Requirements
- Current Driver Licence and reliable vehicle
- Employee Working with Children Check/Blue Card (or ability to obtain one)
- Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends as required
What You’ll Receive
- National Training Wage from $28,600 – $44,200 plus 12% Superannuation
- A fully funded Certificate III in Sport, Aquatics and Recreation
- Valuable experience in the sports industry
- This role is suitable for recent secondary school leavers
