An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Manager – Grid to join a fast-growing, next-generation data center developer and operator. This organisation is at the forefront of delivering large-scale, high-performance compute infrastructure powered by renewable energy, with a strong focus on sustainability and community impact.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll play a critical part in the development of new data center projects, working at the intersection of energy networks, regulation, and major infrastructure delivery.

The Role

You will take ownership of grid connection strategy and execution across multiple projects, both locally and internationally. Responsibilities will include:

- Managing grid connection applications with AEMO and Transmission Network Service Providers (TNSPs)
- Leading technical and commercial negotiations in collaboration with engineering, legal, and commercial teams
- Engaging and managing external grid consultants, including tendering, onboarding and oversight of connection and power system studies
- Acting as the primary point of contact with AEMO, TNSPs, external consultants and relevant OEMs




- Assessing project risks related to network constraints, grid access and regulatory change
- Providing strategic input into grid connection design and project optimisation
- Contributing to long‑term development strategy, including early site identification and international expansion

About You

- Robust experience with grid connection processes for renewable energy, data center, or large‑scale infrastructure assets
- Background from a TNSP, developer, consultancy or OEM, with hands‑on experience leading connection applications
- Comfortable managing complex, high‑pressure timelines while maintaining a strategic mindset
- Excellent communicator with a collaborative, cross‑functional working style
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related discipline
- International project experience is highly regarded
