AboutFinance & Strategy
Our Finance & Strategy teams are trusted partners across NAB, playing a critical role in enabling the organisation to deliver its strategic priorities. We provide financial insights, specialist advice and data‑led analysis to support informed decision‑making.
Finance & Strategy is responsible for areas including group strategy, financial forecasting and analysis, business performance, balance sheet management, treasury, tax, financial and regulatory reporting, financial control, accounting and investor relations. Through our Strategy and Innovation teams, we help shape NAB’s future direction, while our Treasury teams manage liquidity, capital, funding and the balance sheet.
We’re not looking for traditional finance graduates — we’re looking for finance graduates of the future. Curious, analytical problem‑solvers who enjoy improving processes, simplifying complexity and using data to drive better outcomes.
Graduates who want to develop robust financial analysis and accounting skills while helping transform how finance operates at NAB.
What you’ll do in Finance & Strategy
Through rotations, you’ll work with a diverse mix of analysts, business partners, risk managers, financial modellers, accountants and strategists. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across areas such as:
- Financial analysis and modelling
- Financial, regulatory and performance reporting
- Providing technical, analytical and accounting support
- Identifying trends and key drivers to support business decision‑making
- Turning complex financial and non‑financial data into clear, actionable insights
- Building technical capability using tools such as Microsoft suite, Power BI, Think‑Cell, Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Python and R
- Identifying simplification and process improvement opportunities
- Supporting liquidity, rates modelling and funds transfer pricing processes
Locations
Our graduate roles in Finance & Strategy are primarily based in Melbourne with some opportunities in Sydney.
Program Start Date
The 2028 NAB Graduate Program commences in February 2028.

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply, you must:
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizenship or be an Australian Permanent Resident at the time of applying.
- Have completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in the past three years (2025, 2026 or 2027) or be due to complete it by the commencement of the program.
