The Presbyterian Church of Victoria (PCV), established in 1859, is a Christ-centred, Scripture-based denomination committed to advancing the Christian faith through worship, education, and community service. With approximately 140 congregations across Victoria, the PCV is governed by a representative Assembly of Elders and guided by a mission to serve God and neighbour with integrity, compassion, and truth.
As a key leader within this historic and mission-driven organisation, the General Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic and operational future of the Church. Reporting to the Board of Investment and Finance, the General Manager will provide executive leadership across governance, finance, operations, and stakeholder engagement. This is a rare prospect to influence the direction of a faith-based institution with deep roots in the community and a clear vision for revitalisation, cross-cultural ministry, and educational excellence.
The successful candidate will bring a blend of strategic insight, operational acumen, and a heart for ministry. They will be a trusted advisor to a Board, a collaborative leader to staff, and a key connector across congregations, committees, and external partners.
Key Opportunities in the Role:
- Lead the operational and financial stewardship of the Church’s resources, ensuring long-term sustainability.
- Strengthen governance, risk management and compliance frameworks.
- Cultivate strong relationships across the Church’s diverse stakeholders,
fostering unity and shared purpose.
- Champion strategic development initiatives that reflect the Church’s mission and values.
