Responsibilities
- Soldering electronic components onto PCBAs
- Assembling and testing products in accordance with work instructions and provided training
- Assist in rework and modification tasks, including supporting R&D; activities (for example, building and testing prototype boards or assemblies)
- Getting involved in all areas of lab and production operations including setup, maintenance and support activities, as‑required basis.
- Assist in receiving goods and other inventory management tasks, including serialisation and labeling processes, stocktake, putting away stock
- Contributing to best practice quality control and continuous improvement activities
- Update documentation where appropriate
- Provide feedback to improve processes and systems
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as an Electronic Assembler within an electronic engineering or manufacturing background would be ideal.
- Ideally experienced in soldering small electronic components (0603, 0402, and sometimes 0201 sizes).
- Ideally IPC-certified (either current or previously)
- Be familiar with hand tools that are commonly used in electronic production (cutters, pliers, tweezers, wire strippers, screwdrivers etc)
- Have experience following testing procedures and using test jigs/fixtures (including running command line programs on the terminal via serial communications)
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Positive attitude as well as respect for other team members.
- Reliable & punctual.
- Ability to organise and prioritise several tasks.
- Self‑motivated and with an enthusiastic approach.
- The applicant would preferably have a strong recent work history in the Electronic manufacturing field.
