Technical Skills

- Demonstrated experience in commercial property trust accounting.
- Understanding of the Property Occupations Act (desirable but not essential) and trust accounting legislation.
- Experience with property management software (preferably Rexcirrus8 or similar platforms).
- Ability to perform daily trust receipting, payments, reconciliations, EOFY reconciliations and audit preparation.
- Experience with both cash and accrual based accounting methods.
- High level of accuracy with financial reporting and reconciliation processes.

- Sound understanding of lease structures, outgoings recoveries and owner/tenant accounting.

Experience

- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a trust accounting role, preferably within commercial property.
- Experience managing high transaction volumes.
- Previous exposure to external audits and compliance reporting.
- Ability to work independently while supporting the broader property management team.

Personal Attributes

- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive and able to identify issues before they become problems.
- Calm under pressure and able to meet strict reporting deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial matters to non-financial stakeholders.
- Team-oriented with a customer service mindset.

Key Responsibilities

- Daily receipting and allocation of trust funds.
- Processing owner and supplier payments.
- Monthly trust account and bank reconciliations.
- Preparation of owner statements and financial reports.
- Assistance with annual outgoings reconciliations.
- Maintaining legislative compliance and trust accounting records.
- Liaising with auditors, contractors, tenants and owners regarding financial matters.
- Supporting the property management team with financial queries and reporting.
