Salary Range:Band 6 $116,089 – $128,453 per annum plus superannuation

Our Branch
Strategic Communication and Engagement brings together specialists in brand, internal communication, campaign strategy, implementation, digital marketing, media and editorial, metrics, corporate affairs, social media and sponsorship. We partner with teams across Council to deliver strategic communication advice, drive engagement and support high-impact information and communication initiatives that connect with Brisbane residents and communities.
The Role
Join our Brand and Creative team in Strategic Communication and Engagement as a Senior Communication Officer and play a key role in shaping and protecting one of Brisbane's most recognised brands.
You will provide informed advice, strengthen brand governance and help deliver a consistent and trusted brand experience across a wide range of communication strategies and initiatives. Working with internal and external customers, you will identify opportunities to build brand value, solve branding challenges and support high-quality communication outcomes that enhance Council's reputation and community engagement.
As a trusted advisor, you will build strong colleague and stakeholder relationships, manage projects and corporate processes,
contribute to continuous improvement, and help develop the tools, resources and workflows that support effective brand management across Council.
This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in brand governance, communication and customer engagement while helping bring Council's brand to life across Brisbane.
To be successful you will have:
- Experience in brand management marketing or communication activities within a large and complex organisation.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands, coordinate suppliers and deliver quality outcomes.
- Experience contributing to quality assurance, risk management and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to provide informed advice, influence outcomes, build capability in others and build robust working relationships.
- A collaborative and adaptable approach, with the ability to respond effectively to changing priorities and contribute to team success.
- Sound knowledge of contemporary marketing, communication and brand management practices.
