We are currently seeking an experienced Procurement Advisor for a contract chance with one of our clients. This will be a 6 month contract.

The role will support the delivery and continuous improvement of procurement, tendering and contract management activities, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain the organisation’s procurement plan and procurement records.
- Manage Requests for Quotations and tenders through relevant procurement systems.
- Assist with tender and contract preparation, advertising, evaluation and recommendations.
- Facilitate tender probity and evaluation processes and participate in evaluation committees.
- Monitor contract preparation, administration and commercial arrangements.
- Support staff with procurement, tendering and contract management advice and training.
- Facilitate negotiations with vendors and assist with establishing preferred supplier arrangements.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with WH&S;, environmental, risk management and organisational requirements.
- Provide regular reporting on major procurement activities and procurement KPIs.




- Review procurement systems and processes and recommend improvements.
- Support store and inventory management, stocktakes and customer service as required.

About You

We’re looking for a confident procurement professional with strong local government experience and excellent stakeholder and negotiation skills.

- Certificate IV in Government (Procurement and Contracting) for NSW Local Government, or relevant qualifications and experience.
- 5–10 years’ experience in Local Government or a related environment.
- Demonstrated experience in tender and contract preparation in accordance with legislative requirements.
- Experience delivering training in procurement systems, tendering and contract management.
- Strong understanding of contract law and negotiation techniques.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively across a diverse organisation.
- Current Class C Driver Licence.
