Northern Doctors is opening a brand-current, fully bulk-billing general practice at 192–194 Park Terrace, Salisbury Plain, serving one of Adelaide's fastest-growing communities — and we're hiring practice nurses to help us build it from the ground up.

You'll work directly with a GP practice owner who believes the best clinics are built around their nurses, not on top of them. That means genuine clinical collaboration — case discussions, shared decision‑making, and a doctor who teaches as part of the everyday rhythm of the practice, whether that's procedures, chronic disease management or clinical reasoning.

We're also unashamedly modern. We're adopting the latest practice technology — AI‑assisted clinical documentation, smart recall systems, and automation of the admin that eats nursing time — so your hours go into patient care, not paperwork. You'll help choose and shape these tools, not just inherit them.

No inherited systems. No “that's how we've always done it.” No treatment room organised around someone else's habits. You'll help design the recall systems, immunisation workflows and chronic disease clinics alongside a GP who genuinely wants your clinical input — not just your task list.

The offer

$45–$60 per hour + 12% super, depending on experience and skills — genuinely above award, and we publish it because we mean it

Permanent part‑time or full‑time — you tell us the days and hours that work,

The clinic operates 7 days, so weekend sessions are available at full penalty rates for nurses who want them — and entirely optional for those who don't

A GP who is interested in your progress — structured upskilling in procedures, chronic disease and clinical reasoning built into your week, not squeezed around it

Technology that works for you — AI‑assisted documentation and smart automation so nursing time is spent nursing

Paid CPD and funded nurse immuniser accreditation if you don't already hold it

Full leave entitlements including 17.5% annual leave loading

Purpose‑designed treatment rooms and equipment

Free on‑site parking

Flat structure — direct access to the practice owner, no corporate layers

What your week looks like

Treatment room nursing: wound care, ECGs, spirometry, injections, iron infusion support, minor procedure assistance

Immunisation across the lifespan — childhood schedule, influenza and COVID programs, cold chain management, AIR reporting

Chronic disease management: care plans, diabetes cycle‑of‑care, patient education and recalls

Health assessments (45–49, 75+, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health checks)





Preventive care including cervical screening support and self‑collection

Phone and walk‑in triage, escalating with confidence

Helping us achieve RACGP accreditation — your fingerprints on the systems from day one

About you

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, with no conditions

A genuinely collaborative working style — you communicate clearly with GPs, elevate early, and contribute to clinical decisions

Experience in general practice or primary care is highly regarded — but we'll back the right hospital‑trained nurse making the move

Curiousity about new tools and technology — you don't need to be a tech expert, just open to smarter ways of working

An appetite to keep learning — you'll get regular interaction and specific teaching from your GP colleagues and we want someone who'll use it

Nurse immuniser accreditation and GP practice software experience are a bonus, not a barrier — we'll train and fund what's missing

Current CPR certificate; National Police Clearance and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
