Join a Growing Christian School in 2027
HARKE has partnered with a growing independent Christian school in Melbourne's western suburbs that are building its senior secondary offering and seeking experienced, faith-aligned teachers to strengthen its VCE programs from January 2027.
This is an opportunity for teachers who want more than simply a current timetable. The College is looking for educators who are committed to strong VCE outcomes, meaningful student relationships and Christian education, and who want to contribute to a school continuing to grow its programs, people and senior pathways.
The College is currently seeking VCE specialists across:
- English
- Biology
- Business Management
- Health & Human Development
- Physical Education
- Digital Technologies / Computing
Additional teaching areas can be considered depending on each teacher’s experience and subject combination.
Who HARKE Wants to Hear From
HARKE is particularly interested in teachers who can demonstrate:
- Recent experience teaching their specialist subject at VCE level
- Strong understanding of VCE curriculum, SACs, assessment and examination preparation
- Evidence of positive senior student outcomes and results
- Confidence building relationships with students while maintaining high academic expectations
- A genuine commitment to Christian education and alignment with the College’s values and ethos
Teachers who have delivered VCE Units 1 - 4 or can demonstrate strong senior secondary success will be highly regarded.
Faith Alignment
The College is distinctly Christian, and faith alignment is an essential part of the appointment process.
Before HARKE presents an application to the College, applicants will need to confirm:
- The church they currently attend
- Their alignment with the College’s Christian values and ethos
- A pastoral referee who can speak to their Christian faith and involvement
This requirement applies to all applicants and will be confirmed before a CV is submitted to the school.
