Join the Perioperative Services team at Auburn District Hospital, part of Western Sydney Local Health District. Located in the heart of Western Sydney, Auburn District Hospital is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to a diverse and growing community.

Working within a collaborative Operating Suite and High Dependency Unit, you will contribute to a culture that values safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

- Work in a up-to-date perioperative environment supporting surgical services
- Collaborate with dedicated medical, nursing and allied health teams
- Contribute to a culture guided by Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment

What you'll be doing

- Assisting with the safe transfer and positioning of patients across theatre, recovery and High Dependency Units
- Providing compassionate, person-centred support to patients who may be physically, mentally or emotionally distressed
- Cleaning,



preparing and maintaining operating rooms, surgical instrumentation and equipment
- Preparing and positioning equipment prior to procedures to ensure efficient theatre turnaround
- Operating industrial equipment and cleaning chemicals in line with secure work practices

Selection Criteria:

1. Ability to demonstrate experience in patient transportation and positioning within an Operating Suite and ability to adapt to the demands of a Perioperative environment.
2. Sound knowledge of Operating Suite equipment and maintenance.
3. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety and Manual handling principles and requirements.
4. Proven ability to communicate with a variety of patients, staff, and managers.
5. Demonstrated experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment.
