Rencon Group is seeking a seasoned agricultural and land-management skilled to join the Colac depot in a hands-on supervisory role. This is not a desk-only management position. You will support the management of the depot, field crews and operations throughout Greater Colac and the Otways. You will be a practical leader who is comfortable coordinating people and projects while remaining willing to get into the field and lead by example.

Key responsibilities

- Assisting with the day-to-day management of the Colac depot and regional operations
- Planning, allocating and supervising field crews, vehicles, equipment and daily workloads
- Supporting the delivery of ground spraying, weed control and agricultural spraying programmes
- Coordinating vermin and invasive-species control activities
- Assisting with forestry, silviculture and vegetation-management projects
- Supporting firefighting & fire standby operations
- Conducting site inspections, toolbox meetings and pre-start briefings
- Maintaining high standards of safety, productivity, workmanship and client service
- Monitoring job progress, staff hours, materials, equipment and project requirements
- Using digital systems for job scheduling, reporting, forms, timesheets and operational records

About you

- Has substantial practical experience within agriculture, rural contracting, forestry, vegetation management, civil field operations or a similar industry
- Can enter the position and make a meaningful contribution from the outset




- Has previous experience supervising employees, contractors or field crews
- Is a confident, level-headed and respectful people leader
- Communicates clearly and can deal professionally with clients and employees
- Leads by example and is prepared to work alongside the team when needed
- Can plan work, solve problems and make sound decisions in changing field conditions
- Is organised, dependable and accountable
- Is comfortable using smartphones, tablets, email and digital job-management systems
- Understands workplace safety, risk management and the importance of accurate documentation
