About the Role
We are looking for a Telecommunications & Civil Operator to lead from the front on pit and pipe, conduit, Hydro Vac and excavation work across Toowoomba and the Darling Downs. You will run a small crew on site, keep work moving safely and deliver a clean, reliable finish every time.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead a small crew through daily civil and telecommunications works
- Install pits, pipes and conduit for telecommunications infrastructure
- Operate Hydro Vac and excavator plant within your tickets and competency
- Plan the day with the supervisor, read site plans and keep the crew on track
- Set up safe excavations, complete reinstatement and keep sites tidy
- Look after the gear and deliver work safely, on time and without rework
What We're Looking For
You must have:
- Proven civil pit-and-pipe experience for telecommunications works
- White Card and Australian driver's licence
- A safety-first approach and pride in a proper finish
It'd be outstanding if you have:
- Current HR truck licence
- Hydro Vac and excavator operating experience, including current VOCs
- Experience leading a small crew
- Confidence reading site plans and coordinating daily site work
- Local knowledge of Toowoomba and the Darling Downs
You are the person on site who makes it happen. You know the work, stay calm when the day gets busy and lead by example. Your crew can rely on you because you communicate clearly, work safely and never cut corners.
