The Opportunity
An opportunity is available for a Senior Associate or Vice President to join the Sydney team, with a focus on General Industrials and Financial Sponsors.
Working closely with senior bankers, the successful candidate will play a central role in originating and executing buy-side and sell-side M&A; transactions and strategic advisory mandates.
This is a hands-on position offering significant responsibility across the full transaction lifecycle,
including:
- Managing the day-to-day execution of M&A; transactions
- Preparing financial models, valuation analysis and transaction materials
- Coordinating due diligence, transaction documentation and broader deal processes
- Managing relationships with clients, private equity firms and other advisers
- Supervising, reviewing and developing junior team members
- Supporting senior bankers with sector coverage, idea generation and business development
- Contributing to the continued growth of the General Industrials and Sponsors franchise
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Approximately five to eight years’ relevant experience within investment banking, corporate advisory or a leading Big Four corporate finance team
- Strong M&A; transaction experience, including involvement across the full deal process
- Excellent financial modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities
- Exposure to General Industrials, private equity sponsors or broader generalist coverage
- The ability to manage multiple workstreams and take ownership of transaction execution
- Strong communication, presentation and client-management skills
- Experience supervising and mentoring analysts and associates
- A collaborative, commercially minded and team-oriented approach
