What you’ll be doing
- Keeping gardens, outdoor areas and pathways neat, safe and welcoming
- Tackling general handyman and maintenance jobs around the site
- Helping keep buildings, equipment and communal areas in great condition
- Identifying maintenance issues and letting the right people know before small problems become big ones
- Helping with maintenance and gardening supplies and keeping things organised
- Keeping maintenance records and schedules up to date
- Supporting essential safety and compliance requirements
- Coordinating with contractors when required
- Keeping site vehicles clean, organised and ready to go
- Providing occasional on-call support when needed
- Stepping in to cover planned leave and short-notice absences
What we’re looking for
Most importantly, you’re practical, dependable and take pride in your work.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Experience with gardening and general handyman/maintenance work
- A practical, can‑do attitude and the ability to work independently
- Good attention to detail and pride in keeping spaces clean, safe and well presented
- Flexibility to pick up casual shifts, including at short notice when required
- A current Driver’s License
- Experience in maintenance, facilities, property upkeep or a similar role
- A relevant trade qualification is highly regarded
- Experience working in aged care or a similar environment is desirable
- A current National Police Certificate, or willingness to obtain one
- A willingness to meet Aged Care Worker Screening requirements
