Accounts Receivable Officer | Fast-Growing Professional Services Business | Barangaroo | $60k - $75k + super

A fast-growing qualified services business is seeking an Accounts Receivable Officer to join their Sydney team. This role requires someone proactive, resilient and commercially minded who is comfortable taking ownership of collections, building strong client relationships and supporting the wider finance function within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage collections and outstanding debtor accounts
- Follow up overdue invoices via phone and email
- Send customer statements and payment reminders
- Build strong relationships with clients regarding payments
- Allocate receipts and assist with bank reconciliations
- Support contractor and client invoicing processes




- Maintain accurate debtor records and reporting across finance systems
- Resolve invoice queries, account discrepancies and credit notes
- Provide general finance and administration support to the wider finance team
- Assist with month‑end finance tasks and ad hoc duties as required

About You

- Previous experience within Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, Finance Administration or a similar role
- Confident communicator who is comfortable having direct conversations regarding outstanding payments
- Organised, proactive and resilient with strong attention to detail
- Able to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Comfortable working within a high-volume and deadline-driven setting
- Experience using Xero or similar accounting systems highly regarded
- Strong Excel, data entry and organisational skills
