Our Sydney Branch's Credit and Risk Management Department is seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to join the team on a full-time basis, reporting to the Deputy Head of CRMD (Credit & Risk Management Department). This offers the opportunity to work across corporate and institutional lending in a cooperative, high-performing team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Credit Review
- Independently complete credit analysis, research and risk assessments on new lending and annual reviews in accordance with Credit Policy and Procedures
- Provide credit recommendations on credit submissions completed by CBD and FID in accordance with the Branch Credit Approval Process
- Liaise with Head Office departments and external professionals to gain in-depth understanding of proposals and their inherent risks
Credit Management and Ad Hoc Duties
- Assist in accomplishing credit management tasks in accordance with policy
- Assist in reviewing, updating and revising credit policy, credit procedures and the credit operating manual
- Work on credit-related ad hoc duties and projects assigned by the Heads
- Provide coaching to CBD and FID team members as part of their credit upskilling process
Committee Secretary Duties
- Prepare meeting materials, including agendas, monthly portfolio reports, minutes and credit submissions, for the Credit Committee, High Risk Asset Committee and Post-loan Management Meetings
- Liaise with committee members and relevant departments to organise and coordinate meeting schedules
About You
- A Bachelor's degree or higher, majoring in Finance, Accounting or Commerce
- At least one year's experience in corporate banking
- Exceptional attention to detail, highly motivated, and capable of multi-tasking, with a genuine willingness to learn and grow within the role
- Fluent in both written and verbal English and Mandarin
- A strong team player and communicator, equally capable of working autonomously or collaboratively
What Will Set You Apart
- Two to three years' experience in corporate banking, or one year in institutional banking
- Skills and experience in credit analysis of local corporations
