Therole

We are seeking a dynamic and caringLearning Assistant to join our Learning Strategies Team at theWheelers Hill Campus of Caulfield GrammarSchool.

This role is permanent positionrequired Monday-Friday, term time only ,working as part of a supportive and collegial team. Reporting tothe Head of Learning Strategies and under the direction ofclassroom teachers, you will provide support to students withspecific needs by accessing curriculum and daily classroomopportunities.

A key part of your role will beassisting classroom teachers to implement quality educationalprogrammes tailored to support the individual student needs. As avalued member of our team, you will be part of making a realdifference by positively impacting student experience andcontributing to our schoolcommunity.

Keyduties

- Assist teachers in theimplementation of quality educationalprogrammes.
- Work co-operatively withteachers to ensure continuity in teaching strategies, methodsof discipline and ways of working with individualchildren
- Maintain appropriate discretionwhen liaising with School parents.
- Maintain written documentationon student learning as required.
- High level of written and verbalcommunication is a must.
- Contribute positively to thewider team and school environment.
- Model and live the CaulfieldGrammar School values andbehaviours.

Skills andexperience

- Demonstrated experiencesupporting students with specific learningneeds
- Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, friendly,approachable, shows initiative and isorganised
- Able to prioritise and ensurework tasks are completed in a timely manner and to the expectedstandard
- School based experience would beof significant advantage
- Minimum Certificate III inrelated field




- Hold a current or be willing toobtain an Employment Working With ChildrenCheck
