We are looking for a hands on Maintenance & Property Lead to join our team at Durham Green Village.

Remuneration package $88,500 inclusive of Super +Salary packaging

This is a practical site based role suited to someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, solving problems, and working closely with stakeholders to ensure a safe, compliant and welcoming environment for residents and staff. Working closely with the Village Manager, contractors and the wider team to play a key role in our community supporting our residents.

This is a permanent full-time position, working Monday to Friday 7am to 3pm with flexibility may be required to support the operations of the village.

What you will be responsible for

Delivering preventative and reactive maintenance across buildings, equipment and grounds

Undertaking general repairs, maintenance and cleaning tasks to ensure the village is presented in a high standard

Conducting routine inspections of buildings, equipment and village grounds to identify maintenance needs and safety risks

Managing and coordinating contractors and service providers onsite ensuring work is completed safely and in accordance with agreed terms.

Maintaining compliance with Retirement Village Act standards, Council regulations and WHS requirements

Supporting asset management, minor capital works, refurbishments and improvements

Maintaining accurate maintenance systems and reporting requirements

Ability to work independently and working closely with the Village Manager and site teams to provide excellent service while minimising disruption to residents

Providing occasional bus driving for resident outings and servicing requirements.

About You:

What we would like you to bring

A trade qualification in a building related discipline or equivalent experience in facilities, property or maintenance services.

Demonstrated hands on experience delivering maintenance across commercial, residential or property environments

Confidence using Microsoft 365 applications and maintenance systems

Experience managing contractors and multiple priorities in a busy environment

A proactive, organised approach with strong attention to detail with an ability to work independently

Alignment with BaptistCare values and a genuine commitment to working in a resident focused setting

A Light (LR) or Medium Rigid (MR) driver’s licence, or willingness to obtain (BaptistCare funded)
