We are seeking a Senior Application Integration Specialist to support a major government ICT transformation program. The role will be responsible for the analysis, design, implementation and testing of application integrations as systems transition into a modern cloud-based environment.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary delivery team, you will collaborate with application teams, solution architects, cloud engineers and cyber security specialists to deliver secure, reliable and scalable integration solutions.

You MUST posses a minimum of an NV1 security clearance and be able to work in the Canberra office at least 3 days per week to be considered for this position.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyse application integration requirements and define appropriate integration solutions.
- Design, develop and configure integrations between enterprise applications, cloud services and external systems.
- Implement and support API, messaging, event-driven and file-based integration patterns.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration and connectivity issues.
- Develop integration specifications, technical documentation and support artefacts.
- Participate in application migration and transition activities.
- Support integration testing, defect remediation and production deployments.
- Work closely with application owners, vendors and technical teams to resolve integration challenges.
- Ensure integration solutions comply with security, architecture and operational requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of integration standards, patterns and practices.

Skills and Experience





- Demonstrated experience delivering application integrations within large and complex enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, web services, authentication and authorisation protocols.
- Experience with API management, middleware, enterprise integration platforms or iPaaS solutions.
- Experience integrating SaaS, COTS and custom-developed applications.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure Integration and API Management services including APIM, MS Fabric Data Factory, Azure ServiceBus, Azure Event Grid and Azure Functions.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, DevOps practices in general, CI/CD pipelines and source control systems is desirable.
- Government or highly regulated environments.
- Secure system integration and identity federation patterns.
- Application migration and cloud transformation programs.
