About the Company

Davidson Technology is working with an agency of the Queensland State Government to secure an experienced Power Platform Developer to deliver business outcomes facilitated by digital technologies, in line with the Digital Roadmap and technology investment plan.

About the Role

As the Power Platform Developer, you will be responsible for leading the end‑to‑end delivery of high‑quality portal solutions, with a strong focus on implementing UI components using Liquid Template, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. This includes customising portal themes and layouts for a consistent user experience, developing forms and workflows in Power Portals to automate business processes, and integrating solutions with Dataverse, Dynamics 365, and external systems via APIs and web services. You’ll configure and manage Dataverse entities, forms, and relationships to support portal operations while ensuring compliance with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards and design system guidelines. You will collaborate with solution architects, designers, and developers to ensure seamless functionality, conduct thorough testing and code reviews, and deliver clean, maintainable code with clear documentation that supports knowledge sharing and sustainability across the team.

About You

To be successful in this role,



you’ll have a minimum of two years’ experience working with Microsoft Power Apps Portals/Pages, with proven expertise in front‑end development and the creation of reusable UI components. You’ll be skilled in building and customising Power Portal applications, have hands‑on experience with Power Automate flow design, Dataverse data modelling, authentication mechanisms, and security roles. Your technical background will extend to integrating solutions with external systems via RESTful and SOAP web services, applying version control practices (e.g., Git), and working within design systems. You will have strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and a cooperative approach. You will be adept at delivering secure, scalable, and user‑centric solutions. A bachelor’s degree in Data, Information Systems, or a related field is desirable.

The Benefits

You will be offered a 6‑month contract (possible extension) on an excellent hourly rate and the ability to negotiate a flexible working arrangement after an initial induction period.
