Join to apply for the Performance Marketing Specialist role at Australian Ethical Investment

Are you a Performance Marketing Specialist who thrives at the intersection of paid media and analytics? Would you like to apply your technical expertise to accelerate growth for a purpose‑led, ASX‑listed company? This is a great opportunity to join the Consumer Marketing and Digital team at one of Australia’s most loved, impactful, and ethical superannuation brands!

About Us

Australian Ethical is one of Australia’s fastest‑growing super fund and ethical investment managers. We are ASX‑listed with over $14 billion in funds under management and offer a selection of award‑winning managed funds and superannuation products.

Our purpose is to invest for a better world, and we have been pioneers in this space for almost 40 years. For us, investing has two aims – generating solid financial returns and a positive impact for people, planet, and animals. At Australian Ethical, we prove that money can be a force for good. We do this by staying true to our purpose, which is embedded throughout our organisation and drives our everyday activities as a business, investor, brand, employer, and corporate citizen. We’re a registered B Corp and fully committed to an inclusive, equitable and forward‑thinking workplace culture.

Your Current Role

We’re looking for a hands‑on Performance Marketing Specialist who loves running paid campaigns and enjoys digging into the numbers to understand what’s working and what to try next. This role blends paid media execution and practical analytics. You’ll help drive growth across key channels, improve how we measure performance, and constantly look for smarter ways to invest our media budget. You’ll thrive here if you like rolling up your sleeves, testing ideas,

learning fast – and seeing the direct impact of your work.

Key Responsibilities

Paid Media Buying & Optimisation

- Build, manage and optimise campaigns across Google, SA360, DV360, Meta, LinkedIn and other digital channels.
- Actively test audiences, creatives, bids and formats to improve efficiency (CPA, CPL, ROAS).
- Monitor pacing, budgets and funnel performance to hit growth targets.
- Manage AdTech configuration and integrations.
- Configure and deploy A/B and multivariate tests across digital platforms.

Analytics, Measurement & Insight

- Use GA4 and platform data to understand journeys, drop‑offs and opportunities.
- Create and maintain dashboards (e.g. Looker Studio / Power BI).
- Turn numbers into clear insights and recommendations – not just reports.
- Support campaign experiments and share learnings across the team.
- Implement multi‑touch attribution models, incrementality experiments, and funnel analysis with support from agency.

About You

You’re curious, proactive and comfortable working in the details. You enjoy both sides of performance marketing – building campaigns and understanding the story behind the data. You don’t need to tick every box – we value curiosity, creativity, and a growth mindset. You’ll thrive here if you have:

- 3+ years’ experience in performance marketing / paid media.
- Hands‑on campaign build + optimisation across Google Ads, Meta, GMP and other advertising channels.

- Working knowledge of GA4 and funnel metrics.
- Ability to interpret data and explain what it means, simply and clearly.
- A test‑and‑learn mindset and strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with GTM and advanced tracking implementations.
- Exposure to A/B testing or experimentation frameworks.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work cross‑functionally with stakeholders and external media agencies.

What’s in it for you

- A competitive salary, including short‑term and long‑term incentives including access to an Employee Share Plan.
- Wellbeing program that includes an extra 5 days of leave above statutory requirement.
- 20 days paid annual leave with an additional 3 paid days of annual leave over the Christmas period.
