Total Remuneration Package: The hourly rate for this position is $41.86. The total salary package will include employer's contribution to superannuation and leave loading.
Position Information
A School Administrative Officer provides administrative, financial and student welfare/wellbeing support and assistance in relation to office and classroom activities.
While this is a SASS role, the primary focus will be working as a print room assistant. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the school’s print room, including printing, photocopying, binding and production of booklets, check finished print jobs for accuracy and presentation, monitoring and managing the ordering of the printing supplies and managing equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and assisting staff and students with their requests. Support and coordinate school ceremonies and events with attention to detail. Administer first aid relevant to your level of training.
Please note: While your main duties will be within the print room, there may be times when you are required to work in other areas as part of the broader SASS team.

Essential Requirements
- Working with Children Check Clearance
- First Aid Certificate or willingness to undertake First Aid training.
- Administration of Medications – training to be provided based on student needs.
Manage print room operations efficiently, proof reading to ensure accuracy and quality in all printed materials, work collaboratively and coordinate school ceremonies and events with attention to detail, maintain explicit and effective communication across departments, support the smooth running of day-to-day administrative tasks
Specific Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively as part of a team.
- Administration skills including a knowledge of computer software programs such as Microsoft Office.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with teachers and students.
- Ability to perform tasks in one or more of the following areas: office procedures; accounting procedures; sick bay; hospitality and /or design and technology; science.
Conditions
This is an ACIP (Above Centrally Identified Position) permanent non-teaching position established through school funds. The successful candidate’s continued appointment to this position will be subject to the continuity of this funding,
the ongoing requirement for the role and the educational needs of the school. Should the funding or the requirement for the position cease, the officer will receive priority consideration for placement at an alternative location. When accepting the position, the successful applicant will be indicating their acceptance of the terms and conditions attached to this appointment.
