Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow Higher (ST3-5 / ST6+) in Gastroenterology and Hepatology working across two specialities at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, part of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
There are two rotations in this post across a 12 month period to commence from 02 September 2026 until 31 August 2027 as follows:
Rotation 1 – Gastroenterology to commence from 02 September 2026 to 02 March 2027.
Rotation 2 – Hepatology to commence from 03 March 2027 to 31 August 2027.
This post provides an chance to develop Gastroenterology and Hepatology practice at one of the world's leading teaching hospitals, including experience within a state of the art Endoscopy facility and a world-renowned Hepatology service.
The successful applicant will have an opportunity to gain exposure to inpatient and outpatient Hepatology, whilst developing their practice in Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy with associated lists, training lists and research opportunities. The focus of the post is training in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Therapeutic Endoscopy.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of application is required.
The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
