We are looking for enthusiastic and personable Waiters and Restaurant Hosts to join the team at New Farm Deli & Cafe.

As a Waiter and/or Restaurant Host, you will be the face of our establishment, creating memorable dining experiences for our guests whilst ensuring exceptional service standards. Your role is fundamental to our success, as you will be responsible for greeting customers, managing the flow of the dining room, and delivering outstanding food and beverage service that keeps our patrons returning.

Key responsibilities

- Greet and welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, managing the front-of-house experience
- Seat guests promptly and provide menus, whilst taking note of any special requests or dietary requirements
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and ensure they are communicated clearly to the kitchen and bar teams
- Serve food and drinks in a timely manner, following proper service protocols and maintaining high standards of presentation
- Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or complaints professionally
- Clear tables efficiently and maintain cleanliness of the dining area throughout service
- Process payments and manage transactions using point-of-sale systems
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service delivery
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, specials and wine or beverage pairings to provide informed recommendations
- Follow food safety and hygiene protocols at all times

What we're looking for

- Previous experience in waiting or front-of-house hospitality roles, preferably in a restaurant or cafe environment
- Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities,



with the capacity to work effectively in a team
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tables or guests simultaneously
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service etiquette and safety standards
- Willingness to learn and adapt to our systems, procedures and customer service philosophy
- A positive attitude and reliability in attending scheduled shifts
