Auto Electricians | Emergency Vehicles & Custom Builds
Quik Corp designs and builds fire appliances, emergency response vehicles, heavy‑duty spray equipment and specialised vehicle systems from our Coolum Beach facility on the Sunshine Coast.
We are looking for Auto Electricians to join our team for an immediate start.
This is not repetitive servicing or accessory fitting. You will be part of the team building complete vehicles and equipment from the ground up, with the electrical work you complete becoming part of finished fire trucks, emergency vehicles and specialised equipment operating across Australia.
The Role
You will work across a range of custom vehicle builds including:
- Fire appliances and firefighting equipment
- Emergency response vehicles
- Dedicated spray vehicles and equipment
- Custom trucks and trailers
Your work will include:
- Building, installing and routing vehicle wiring looms
- In‑cab electrical fit‑outs
- Installing lighting, light bars and 12V accessories
- Installing communications equipment
- Wiring pumps, controls and vehicle‑mounted equipment
- Reading and working from wiring diagrams and schematics
- Assisting with vehicle modifications and component fitment where required
- Testing and completing electrical systems to a high standard
Who We Are Looking For
Ideally, you will be a qualified Auto Electrician, however we will also consider people with strong vehicle assembly experience and extensive knowledge of 12V electrical and accessory installation.
You will need to be:
- Confident working with automotive 12V electrical systems
- Experienced installing and routing wiring looms
- Able to work accurately from drawings, schematics and build requirements
- Practical and solutions‑focused
- Reliable and able to work to production timeframes
- Comfortable working as part of a larger build team
- Particular about the quality and presentation of your work
- Able to supply your own hand tools
Highly Regarded
Experience in any of the following will be well regarded:
- Truck electrical systems
- Fire appliances or emergency service vehicles
- In‑cab truck fit‑outs
- Programming light bars and warning systems
- Communications equipment
- CANBUS systems
- Specialised vehicle or equipment manufacturing
