We are seeking a reliable and motivated Printer/Machine Operator – Rewind to join a fast-paced manufacturing team within the Labels department.
About the role
Reporting to the Labels Manager, you will be a full-time Printer/Machine Operator – Rewind working in a fast-paced manufacturing team within the Labels department. Hours will be 6.00am to 2.00pm.
Key responsibilities
- Operating production machines and associated equipment for the manufacture of labels
- Secure and controlled running of the Rewind inspection machine
- Efficient set-up of the Rewind and Cutting machines and preparation of the tooling, labels, and other raw materials to maximise equipment efficiency
- Assist with job changes and associated tasks
- Perform quality inspection checks and other procedural checks to ensure the best quality is delivered to customers
- Housekeeping duties and any other ad hoc tasks required as part of a site production team
- Contribute to a safe working environment for yourself and the team including working in accordance with the company Quality,
Continuous Improvement and Work Health and Safety systems and standards
About you
- Previous experience working in a print or packaging manufacturing environment in a similar role
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and planning skills to meet tight deadlines and operational requirements
- Ability to demonstrate a willingness to respond to changing work requirements and peak periods
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a high degree of integrity and honesty
- Ability to communicate with Supervisors, Peers and other stakeholders clearly and concisely
- Ability to perform tasks that require manual handling, including lifting rolls/boxes of finished products (weighing up to 15kg)
- Must have full working rights to Work in Australia
