Hawk Geo Pty Ltdis a Leading geotechnical and construction materials testing company servicing the Sydney, Central Coast and Hunter regions.

We are currently looking for a reliable and motivated Casual Laboratory Technician to join our team at our Boolaroo laboratory.

No previous experience is required. Full training will be provided.

This is a casual position, with the opportunity for a full-time traineeship for the right candidate.

About the Role

You will be trained to carry out a range of geotechnical and construction materials laboratory testing.

Day-to-day duties will include:

- Preparing and testing soil and construction material samples
- General laboratory duties
- Recording and entering test results
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Assisting other laboratory staff as required

Exposure opportunities:

- Field density testing
- Construction site testing and sampling
- Soil and materials sampling

This is a hands-on and physically active role that would suit someone who enjoys practical work and wants to learn new skills.

What We’re Looking For

To be successful,



you will need:

- Reliable transport to and from our Boolaroo laboratory
- Availability to work Monday to Friday between 7:00am and 5:00pm
- The ability to repetitively lift up to 20 to 30 kg
- A practical and logical approach to problem solving
- Basic computer skills
- A strong work ethic
- The ability to work well in a team
- Reliability and punctuality
- Previous experience in geotechnical testing, laboratories, construction or a similar industry is an advantage, but not essential.
