- Level 4, $73,874 - $77,693 p.a., plus up to 17% employer superannuation
- Full-time (36.25 hours per week), ongoing appointment

The Opportunity

Join UniSC’s vibrant Student Success team and play a key role in supporting students throughout their academic journey. As a Student Success Assistant, you’ll be the first point of contact for student enquiries, providing timely, accurate support via phone and email, while contributing to engagement campaigns and referral processes that enhance the overall student experience. Working under the guidance of the Team Leader, you’ll help coordinate administrative processes, support targeted outreach, and ensure students are connected with the right services, making a real impact on student retention, satisfaction, and success.

Please note: there may be a requirement to undertake work during non-standard hours and opportunities for recreational leave may also be restricted during peak periods.

You will

- provide procedural advice on all aspects of the student experience, ensuring all student engagement activities contribute positively to the student experience;
- provide first-line support via phone and email with outbound call campaigns and inbound enquiries to guide students through all aspects of their academic progression, student support and services to foster positive engagement; and
- identify necessary points of referral to Student Success Advisers, Learning Advisers, Career Advisers, and other specialised services to maintain a sustainable and holistic process.

About you

You’re passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and thrive in roles where empathy, clear communication, and problem-solving are key. Whether it’s over the phone, via email, or in person, you respond proactively and thoughtfully to a wide range of queries, always aiming to build strong, productive relationships with students and colleagues. With keen attention to detail, you draft clear and accurate correspondence, ensuring communications are effective, inclusive, and culturally sensitive. Your ability to manage complex student matters with care and professionalism sets you apart.

You will possess:

- Completion of relevant diploma level qualifications combined with demonstrated work related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant work experience;
- Knowledge of,



or ability to quickly acquire knowledge of UniSC policy and procedures, so that accurate and timely service and advice is provided to students and staff;
- The ability to use technology such as a student management system, CRM (customer relationship management system) and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- The ability to organise and prioritise own work activities and schedules to meet established deadlines, achieve high quality work outcomes; and
- An understanding of the challenges facing tertiary institutions when communicating with students.
