$78K PA - $88K PA plus super PVC FENCING WAREHOUSE PTY LTD is seeking a full-time Metal Fabricator to join its growing team at its Stapylton, Queensland 4207 facility. To be considered for the role, you need to have a relevant industry qualification or at least 2 years' experience in a similar position.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Interpret engineering drawings, fabrication plans and technical specifications to determine job requirements.
- Measure and mark metal components accurately before cutting, shaping and assembly.
- Select suitable structural steel, metal sections,



plates and other materials for fabrication work.
- Cut metal components using grinders, saws, cutting machines and flame-cutting equipment.
- Form, bend and shape metal sections and pipes using presses, rollers, heating equipment and hand tools.
- Position, align and secure components in preparation for joining and assembly.
- Fabricate structural steel products and other metal structures in accordance with approved drawings.
- Join metal components using welding, bolting, riveting and other appropriate fastening methods.
- Manufacture, modify and repair metal products, frames, supports, vessels and structural components.
- Inspect fabricated components and welded joints to confirm their dimensions, alignment and workmanship.
- Remove excess weld material and smooth metal surfaces using grinders, files and other finishing tools.
- Clean, polish and prepare completed products for protective coating, painting or installation.
- Identify defects in fabricated products and undertake the necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Operate and maintain fabrication machinery, welding equipment and hand tools safely.
- Follow workplace safety requirements, quality procedures and relevant fabrication standards.

Skills & Experience

- Experience in welding and metal fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Robust understanding of fabrication processes and welding techniques.
