We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established commercial plumbing business based in Carrum Downs, specialising in below-ground drainage and services across commercial construction projects across metropolitan Melbourne.

The Role
This is a hands-on Plant Operator / Labourer role for someone who is comfortable being an all-rounder on commercial plumbing sites. You’ll move between plant operation and general labouring tasks as required to keep jobs moving efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating and maintaining plant and heavy vehicles
- Trench excavation and below-ground works
- General labouring across commercial plumbing sites
- Assisting trades on site and supporting the wider crew
- Manual labour, lifting and material handling as required
- Transporting plant, equipment, fill and spoil
- Daily plant checks and basic maintenance
- Working safely and efficiently on active construction sites
What We’re Looking For
This role suits someone who:
- Has minimum 3 years’ experience operating plant on commercial construction sites
- Is confident with trenching and excavation work
- Is happy to be hands-on and contribute as an all-rounder, not just operate plant
- Holds a Heavy Vehicle Driver’s Licence
- Has a White Card and plant tickets
- Understands OHS and works safely at all times
- Is a team player — happy to help others and get stuck in
- Shows initiative and wants to broaden their skills across commercial plumbing works
Mechanical aptitude or leadership potential is well regarded.
Candidates based in Melbourne’s south-east suburbs will be highly regarded, given the location of projects and depot.
