IPD is excited to offer a newly created opportunity for a Trade Assistant – Electrical Distribution Boards to join our growing Production team. This hands‑on role will play an key part in supporting the assembly and delivery of high‑quality electrical distribution boards and switchboards for customers across a range of industries.

About the role:

As a Trade Assistant , you will be responsible for:

- Assembling and wiring electrical distribution boards and switchboards.
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, SLDs, and wiring schematics.
- Supporting production activities to meet quality and delivery targets.
- Following established quality, safety, and workshop procedures.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment.
- Supporting the workshop team with additional tasks as required.

About You:

To be successful in the role, you will have:





- Previous experience in electrical assembly, switchboards, or the electrical industry.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring schematics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Reliable, detail‑oriented, safety‑focused, and eager to learn.
