About the role

MSS Security is seeking a Part time Aviation Protection Officer to join our team at Gladstone Airport.

As an Aviation Protection Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of passengers, staff and airport operations.

Duties

- Conduct security screening of passengers, staff, and visitors
- Operate screening equipment and security technology, including X-ray machines,



metal detectors, and Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) systems.
- Perform passenger, staff, visitor, and baggage screening to identify prohibited items, dangerous goods, and security threats.
- Monitor and patrol airport facilities, reporting and responding to security incidents, breaches, and potential risks.

Requirements

- Full Australian working rights.
- Strong communication and customer service skills .
- Ability to undergo and pass a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing).
- 24/7 availability required.
- Master licence - 41299
