What you need to know...

- casual position
- the package: $35 to $42 per hour plus superannuation and casual loading
- location: Clarence Regional Aquatic Centre and Yamba Community Pool

About the role

Are you passionate about water safety, skilled in instruction, and dedicated to creating a positive learning environment? This is a rewarding chance to shape confident swimmers and contribute to community wellness.





About the role: You will plan and deliver engaging, safe swimming lessons for all ages and skill levels. Your focus is on skill development, confidence building, and ensuring a positive experience for every swimmer including young people, adults, and NDIS clients.

You must have:

- A current, nationally recognised Swim Teaching Qualification
- Current First Aid & CPR certification
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current Drivers Licence
- Previous experience planning, delivering and instructing swimming lessons or similar

The key duties:

- Deliver lessons according to the swim program curriculum.
- Assess and support swimmers of varying abilities.
- Maintain a safe, caring, and supportive pool environment.
- Build positive relationships with swimmers and families.
- Follow all safety procedures and report hazards.

We have several casual positions available at the Clarence Regional Aquatic Centre and Yamba Community Pool. Swimming lessons are held Monday to Sunday and include early mornings.

Closing date

Tuesday 8 September at 11.30 pm (NSW time).

Other important information

This position is located at Council's Clarence Regional Aquatic Centre and Yamba Community Pool, however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.

A probation period applies to this position.
