About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Lead Site Operatorto join our team at Gaia Envirotech Pty Ltd in Hamilton, Victoria. As our Lead Site Operator, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring the efficient and high-quality operation of machinery. This is a full-time position and offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and environmentally conscious organisation. You will play a key role in ensuring materials are processed safely, equipment is maintained, and production targets are achieved.
What you'll be doing
- Operate machinery, including industrial shredders, in a safe and efficient manner
- Monitor equipment performance and adjust settings as required
- Load and process materials through shredding equipment
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of machinery
- Identify faults or hazards and report issues promptly
- Maintain accurate production and operational records
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and guidelines
- Keep work areas clean and organised
About You
- Proven experience as a Machine Operator or similar manufacturing role
- Skid steer and front-end loader tickets and verification of competencies in the use of relevant machines
- A construction white card would be advantageous
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality standards
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Positive communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to pass a full employment medical, including random drug and alcohol testing
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
