A casual position is available for a Food and Domestic Assistant to join our enthusiastic team of Health Professionals in the Food Services team at Swan Hill District Health. This is a casual role at our Swan Hill Campus. This role may also include the option of relieving shifts at our Nyah Campus (Jacaranda Lodge).

Position

Join our Food Services team as a Food and Domestic Assistant and play an important role in supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality care to our patients and residents. In this hands-on role, you will assist with meal preparation, tray service, kitchen cleaning, and the delivery and collection of meals while helping maintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment. Working as part of a supportive team, you will contribute to excellent customer service, food safety, and the overall experience of those receiving care at Swan Hill District Health. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful contribution to the health service while working in a collaborative and inclusive environment

You Bring

- Completion of at least a Food Handlers Certificate for the Health Care Sector, or willingness to obtain.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service and attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously and effectively as part of a team while maintaining high cleaning and food safety standards.
- Reliability, flexibility and commitment to contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
- Ability and commitment to work a fixed roster, including some weekend shifts

Mandatory requirements

- Current National Police Check, or will to obtain.
- Working with Children’s Check if required within scope of the role
- NDIS worker screening check if required within scope of the role




- Evidence of immunisation records/history as part of the Health Services Act 1988, 2020 Amendment (Mandatory Vaccination of Healthcare Workers).
