Role focus:

The role provides strategic leadership across multiple technology workstreams including SAP S/4HANA, i.Pharmacy, data migration, testing, systems integration, architecture, cutover, release management and transition to operations. Acting as the Senior Supplier delivery lead, the position coordinates multidisciplinary delivery teams, vendors and technical specialists to ensure the successful implementation of a future-state enterprise solution.

The role is responsible for establishing delivery governance, managing project performance, financial management, risk and assurance, stakeholder engagement and technical integration while ensuring alignment with Queensland Health enterprise architecture, release management, cybersecurity and operational support requirements.

Key responsibilities:

- Well-developed knowledge and extensive practical experience in dealing with privacy compliance and privacy complaints.
- Demonstrated ability to gather and analyse a large amount of information and formulate outcomes, actions, and plans to relevant to each circumstance.
- Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of legislation applicable to the functions carried by the Privacy Team.
- Proven ability to provide technical advice about Privacy matters and communicate complex issues in plain language for various audiences.
Ability to research and analyse issues, write concise correspondence and provide independent advice on a range of release of privacy issues.
- Demonstrated ability to gather information,



facts, identify key persons of interest, analyse information available and any legislative or policy requirements and consider an appropriate response.
Proven ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality in a sensitive and complex setting.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business and/or Law, or substantial demonstrated experience related to the role.
- Experience in mentoring other staff and/or exposure to leading general team operations, recruitment, induction, training, performance management, and managing administrative complaints.

Experience:

- Maintain knowledge of changes in local government and industry relevant to privacy such as legislative changes and industry best practice.
- Provide guidance and education to other branches regarding governance, privacy services and practices.
- Provide high‑quality, risk‑informed advice on privacy matters, interpreting and applying relevant legislation, case law, policies and best practice to support sound, compliant and defensible decision‑making.
- Coordinate privacy matters across the organisation, including complex privacy complaints and data breach assessments, ensuring consistent, timely and defensible outcomes in line with legislative and policy requirements.




- Support the Principal Privacy Advisor in the coordination and management of data breach responses, including obligations under the Mandatory Data Breach Notification (MNDB) scheme, with a focus on assessment, escalation and notification activities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Council’s privacy practices, including identifying risks and trends, supporting the uplift of processes and controls, and promoting consistent application of privacy requirements across the organisation.
- Contribute to the investigation and resolution of privacy incidents and complaints, including undertaking analysis, preparing briefs and correspondence, and supporting appropriate outcomes.
- Exercise decision making powers set out in Council’s delegations register or authorisations framework.
- Prepare a variety of correspondence, including correspondence to internal stakeholders or external stakeholders and agencies.
- Take the lead on projects as requested by the Principal Privacy Advisor and/or Manager, Integrity, Information and Policy.
- Identify business improvement opportunities and encourage other team members to experiment with new ways to solve work problems and seize opportunities that result in unique and differentiated solutions.
- Support the Principal Privacy Advisor in identifying team training and development needs, gaps and opportunities and strategise appropriate ways to address these to ensure continued service excellence.
