Medical Receptionist - Cairns Urgent Care Clinic

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Medical Receptionist to join our rapid-paced Urgent Care Clinic based in Edmonton.

Reporting to the Practice Manager, and working as part of a team, you will be responsible for ensuring a high-quality patient experience as well as providing administrative support services to the clinical teams enabling them to run efficiently and professionally.

Key responsibilities of the role:

Providing comprehensive administrative support to the clinical teams;

Delivering excellent patient management including maintaining patient flow, greeting patients, recording and updating patient information and ensuring a smooth journey to and from the reception area and consulting rooms;

To be successful for this position, you must have at least one (1) year of previous experience as a Receptionist/Administrator, preferably within a General or Specialist Medical Practice or Hospital, together with:

A "can do" attitude and be a proactive/forward thinker

Being a self-motivated individual with a willingness to learn

Be capable of working in a fast pace environment





Have the proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with the team

Excellent planning and organisational skills together with the ability to priorities a number of competing priorities

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service

proficiency with Microsoft applications/Tech Savvy

A mature attitude and ability to resolve conflict in a positive and respectful manner

Exceptional attention to detail

Demonstrated ability to maintain absolute confidentiality regarding patient and practice information

In addition, experience with Best Practice Software would be highly regarded.

This is a casual position and the successful applicant must have flexibility and be able to work Monday to Friday between 8am-10pm and weekends 8.45am-6pm as well as covering any sick or holiday leave.
