What you'll be doing

You’ll provide hands-on finance and systems support across our Development projects, acting as a key connection between the Finance and Development teams.

A major focus of the role will be supporting our project finance systems and processes, including IPM, responding to system and workflow queries, assisting users with commitments and cost coding, and helping ensure project financial information flows accurately through our systems.

Alongside the systems support component, you’ll work closely with Development Accountants and Development Managers across project accounts payable,



creditor reconciliations, project cost management and the call notice and funding process.

About the role

We are seeking a proactive and systems-minded Finance Support – Projects team member to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with Development Accountants and Development Managers, you will provide day-to-day finance systems and process support to our Development team while helping maintain the accuracy and integrity of project financial information.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, systems, finance processes and working directly with users to resolve issues.

Finance Systems & Development Team Support

- Act as a key point of contact for the Development team for finance system and process queries

- Provide first-level support for IPM and other project finance system queries, troubleshooting issues and escalating more complex matters to our external systems support provider, Thrive

- Manage the Finance Hub inbox, ensuring queries are responded to, resolved or allocated to the appropriate team member in a timely manner

- Assist Development Managers and other users with commitments, project cost coding, purchase orders and invoice workflow queries

- Investigate system and workflow issues and work with Finance, Development and Thrive to resolve them

- Assist with user guidance and improving understanding of finance processes and systems across the Development team

- Identify recurring system or process issues and contribute to practical improvements and efficiencies

- Support the integrity and accuracy of project financial data across IPM and ERP systems

Project Finance Support

- Work with Development Accountants and Development Managers to ensure project costs are coded to the correct project, cost category and commitment

- Investigate and resolve invoice, coding and commitment queries

- Monitor aged creditors and follow up outstanding items





- Prepare supplier reconciliations and reconcile project creditor ledgers

- Support monthly lender drawdowns and investor call notices, including ensuring costs and supporting information are accurately captured

- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations, month-end activities and audit requests

- Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as required

- Contribute to continuous improvement of finance systems, workflows and project accounting processes

About you

You’ll be someone who is comfortable working across both finance and systems. You enjoy investigating problems, helping users and understanding how financial information moves through systems and processes.

You’ll ideally bring:

- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline

- Experience in a finance, project accounting, accounts payable or finance systems support environment

- A good understanding of accounts payable and project costing

- Strong systems aptitude and an interest in finance technology and process improvement

- Experience using ERP or project management/accounting systems; IPM experience would be highly regarded

- Confidence assisting users with system, workflow and finance process queries

- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate issues through to resolution

- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple queries and competing priorities

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both Finance and Development stakeholders

- Experience within property development or construction would be highly regarded.

This role would suit someone who enjoys combining their finance knowledge with technology and systems and wants to build their experience within a large and diverse property development portfolio.
