Situated on Exmouth's stunning seafront, The Deck Restaurant is one of East Devon's most popular dining destinations. With

breathtaking views, a relaxed atmosphere, and a reputation for excellent food and service, we're looking for a Restaurant Team

Leader to help lead our front-of-house team and deliver an exceptional guest experience.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

You’ll play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, supporting the management team and leading shifts to ensure

smooth, efficient service.

Responsibilities include:

- Leading and supporting the front-of-house team during service
- Delivering exceptional customer experiences from arrival through to departure
- Creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere for guests
- Supporting with team training, coaching, and onboarding
- Coordinating busy lunch, dinner, and event services
- Acting as a point of contact for customer queries and team support
- Encouraging excellent menu knowledge and confident upselling
- Maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and service delivery
- Supporting stock control, cash handling, and daily operational tasks
- Handling customer feedback and resolving issues professionally and positively

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for someone with energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for hospitality.

You’ll have:

- Previous experience in a restaurant, café, bar, or hospitality environment
- Experience supervising or leading a team
- A friendly, approachable, and professional manner




- A strong focus on customer service and guest satisfaction
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The ability to remain calm and effective during busy periods
- A positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to support others
- Passion for food, drink, and creating memorable dining experiences
- A desire to learn, develop, and progress within the hospitality industry
