Maintenance Trades Assistant

We are currently seeking aMaintenance Trades Assistant to join their manufacturing plant. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, hands-on individual who enjoys working in a workshop environment and supporting experienced tradespeople and the maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist qualified tradespeople with general maintenance and workshop duties.
- Utilize a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Apply welding knowledge and skills as required.
- Support mechanical and electrical maintenance activities.
- Assist with general factory and production support as directed.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and safe work practices.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Be proactive in identifying and assisting with day-to-day maintenance and operational challenges.

To Be Successful, You Will Ideally Have

- Previous experience in a manufacturing, industrial or similar environment.
- Previous workshop experience.
- Welding knowledge or practical experience is essential.




- Mechanical and/or electrical factory support experience.
- Ability to confidently use a range of hand and power tools.
- Current Australian Driver’s License.
- Valid Forklift License is essential.
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team.Willingness to learn, adapt and embrace new ideas.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality and clear communication.
- Willingness to assist both the maintenance and production teams as required.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to identify issues and contribute practical solutions.
- A motivated, dependable and positive attitude.

What’s On Offer

- Casual to full-time chance for the right candidate.
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
- Friday: 6:00am – 2:00pm
- Some on-call or weekend work may occasionally be required.
