We’re looking for an experienced Specialist Engineer – Data to join a large enterprise workplace in Brisbane .

Contract: Until the end of 2026

This is a senior technical role suited to an experienced Data Engineer who can provide technical leadership across the design, development and implementation of solutions that improve data processing, integration, accessibility and reliability .

What you’ll be doing:

- Lead the design and development of complex data and engineering solutions
- Design scalable systems and assess technical design options and trade-offs
- Improve data integration, transformation, management and accessibility
- Provide specialist technical advice to stakeholders and project teams
- Drive automation, performance optimisation and continuous improvement
- Ensure solutions meet quality, security, risk and governance requirements
- Support cloud and technology infrastructure operations
- Contribute to technical standards, knowledge sharing and emerging technology initiatives




- Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks

What we’re looking for:

- Strong experience in Data Engineering / Specialist Engineering roles
- Experience designing and delivering complex enterprise solutions
- Advanced programming capability
- Strong database, data integration and software integration experience
- Cloud technology experience
- Understanding of security, technical risk and quality assurance
- Ability to provide technical leadership and work with senior stakeholders
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, IT, Computer Science or a related discipline
