Cook Location: Rosebery, NSW Job Type: Full-time (38 hours per week) Salary: $80,000 per year + Superannuation About Us Two Fives Café is a busy neighbourhood café in Rosebery, NSW, known for serving quality coffee, fresh brunch, and seasonal dishes in a welcoming environment. We are committed to delivering excellent food and customer service and are seeking a passionate and experienced Cook to join our growing kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast, brunch, lunch, and café menu items to a consistently high standard.
- Assist in developing seasonal menus and daily specials.
- Ensure food is prepared in accordance with recipes and presentation standards.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and minimise food waste.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock rotation.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- At least 2 years' experience as a Cook in a café or restaurant setting.
- Relevant commercial cookery qualification (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of breakfast and brunch cooking.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Robust organisational and time management skills.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and excellent teamwork skills.
- Availability to work weekends and public holidays as required.
