Job Description

Retail Manager – Pharmacies, Disability Aids and Equipment Salary: $80,000 per annum plus depending on skills and experience. Work Location: 348 Peel Street, Tamworth NSW 2340 Full time Position We are seeking a highly motivated Retail Manager to join our team at SA & SMJ Pty Ltd.

Building on an outstanding reputation as a rural and regional pharmacy group, SA & SMJ Pty Ltd is further diversifying and strengthening its business activities through its disability aids and equipment and non-prescription goods and services divisions. As the company’s Retail Manager, you will focus on creating and executing an overarching plan to:

- promote the sale of disability aids within our existing regional pharmacy network having particular regard to disabled children and teenagers; and
- drive improvement in sales of non-prescription goods and services such as vitamins, cosmetics, confectionary, weight loss powders, and perfumes

The successful applicant will manage these retail activities across several pharmacy locations while also driving online sales performance and customer engagement. This is a full-time position with work conducted across the employer’s pharmacy retail outlets throughout regional and rural NSW.

Key Responsibilities The Retail Manager will be responsible for:

- Establishing referral networks for our disability aids and equipment division by promoting the company’s goods and services to child care providers, schools and parents
- Managing day-to-day retail operations across multiple pharmacy outlets and online sales channels
- Developing and implementing sales, marketing, and promotional strategies to increase revenue and customer engagement with our disability aids and equipment and non-prescription divisions
- Monitoring stock levels, purchasing requirements,



and inventory control across all retail locations
- Analysing sales performance and preparing reports on retail and online trading activities
- Managing pricing, product presentation, merchandising, and promotional displays
- Coordinating online product listings, digital promotions, and customer order fulfilment processes
- Supervising and training retail staff to ensure high standards of customer service
- Liaising with suppliers and service providers regarding stock supply, product availability, and promotional activities
- Maintaining customer satisfaction by responding to customer enquiries and resolving complaints effectively

Skills, Experience and Qualifications To be considered for this position, applicants must possess:

- At least 1–2 years of relevant retail management experience
- Strong understanding of retail sales, stock control, merchandising, and customer service practices
- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple retail outlets
- Strong computer literacy and experience with retail point-of-sale and inventory systems
- Qualification at diploma level or above preferably in a field related to retail management, disability services, child related services or a combined field of study
- Hold or willing to obtain a NSW working with children check and Australian Federal Police clearance

Sales and Marketing:

- Develop and execute effective marketing strategies to promote retail sales
- Analyze market trends and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth
- Set retail pricing

Customer Service:

- Provide outstanding customer support to retail customers in person and via email, chat, and phone
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure that retail customer feedback is collected and used to improve products and services
- Work towards building long-lasting customer relationships and brand loyalty
