Job Description

The service also provides outreach functions to North West Hospital and Health Service. This is a multi-disciplinary team with a combination of Allied Health, Nursing and Mental Health medical staff who will provide specialised clinical support to the Townsville and North West HHSs using a consultation-liaison model to offer assessment and management advice to the Mental Health Alcohol Other Drugs (MHAOD) and Health services supporting clients with co-occurring IDD and complex needs.

About the Candidate

- For Occupational Therapy the successful applicant must possess a degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited tertiary institution. Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia is required.
- Appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) under the Mental Health Act 2016 would be highly desirable. If not AMHP - then willingness to undertake and complete the requirements for appointment.
- This position requires the incumbent to operate a class "C" motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this type of vehicle is required.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.

- Salary range: $ to $ p.f. (full-time) OR $64.64 to $69.55 p.h. (part-time) (HP4)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
